It takes a true and special sort
To see what no one wants to.
It takes an even stronger soul
To stick it out though you may want to
Run or spit or take revenge
No matter how deserving
Your foe or friend or foe again
May warrant it, but life, unnerving
Has a way of working out
Or dragging down the best of 'em.
In short, it is a choice you have:
To float or sink with the rest of 'em, so,
Take care how you decide to go.
Dare goad the fate you're given?
While avoiding what you are,
You may just shun a life worth living.
