"Let him among you
Who is without sin
Be the first to send a
stone."
I have spent many years
Hitting myself
With this stone
Because I've never been able
To claim
The ability to throw,
But I have been the one to judge
Myself for being unable to throw it
Though the judgement only applies
To myself.
The irony of this repeated scene
Does not escape me.
"Let him among you
Who cannot first send a stone
Judge him (or her) self
For being unable."
And that has been my motto
Until just now
As I've realized my hypocrisy
Is far greater than the edict.
